SUNDAY
We are enjoying meeting with the Utrecht Ward. The people are kind and helpful. We are hoping to get our 'out of unit member' status figured out so we have access to Tools and can see the members and maybe get to know them better.
MONDAY
When we sold our car in Arizona we thought everything was taken care of. However, the Title was in the name of Marcia Stewart but I signed with my legal name of Marcia Glauser. We had checked with a notary there and he assured us all was fine. But we got an email from Ashley Goaslind to whom we had sold the car. They had had trouble registering the car because of this discrepancy. So today we found a Notary and walked to their office. Not knowing we should have made an appointment, they still were very courteous and quickly did the necessary paperwork. The three women who worked with us were so kind and accommodating. There are so many good people in this world! On the walk back to the office, we decided we'd get them a little Thank You gift.
TUESDAY
On our way to the office this morning, we stopped at one of the Bakkerij's and bought some fresh muffins, then delivered them to the Notary office. One of the women who had helped the day before greeted us and was just speechless. It was a small gesture on our part, but seemed very meaningful to her. We had put a card with a message and link to ComeUntoChrist.org in with the muffins along with our names and phone number. We are grateful to be part of the gathering of Israel...even by just delivering muffins.
After our Office Meeting I had some questions for President Watson about individual missionaries so we met about them. Elder Anderson has a medical issue that looks like it requires Mission President approval before seeing the orthopedic surgeon. We couldn't find the correct form on eMed, so I told President I would go look for it while he finished the things he needed to do before leaving. I knew I only had a short time, and the form was not easily found. But I had it impressed on my mind where to look on the website and found the form, printed it and also emailed it to President. After taking it to him, I wanted to retrace my steps so next time I would know where to find it. But I couldn't find it. Eventually I was able to locate it, but feel like since I had been led to it when I needed it quickly. It is just another testament to me that the Lord will help us with everything, even something as simple as finding an obscure form.
WEDNSDAY
District Council was today. This is the first time we have been invited and are so happy to be associated with these young missionaries. Elder Blodgett led the discussion and did great job. Most of the meeting was in Dutch...they are working so hard to learn the language. After DC, we walked to the Bakkerij and bought sandwiches for everyone. We are so happy to be able to contribute to the mission by working in the office and especially getting to know the other missionaries.

THURSDAY
We took the train to Den Haag at lunch time to meet some of the missionaries who had IND appointments. Since they would be there and we had some bike helmets and Fobs to deliver we decided to meet them there. No trouble for us, but the Sisters and Elders we were to meet didn't arrive. We called to see if everything was OK and talked to the IND people about the situation. The train they were on had broken down and then when they got going again they had to stop for a drawbridge that got stuck and they couldn't go over it. Finally, they were able to make it and the people at the IND were very nice and allowed them to keep their appointment even though they were a couple hours late.
Just a regular day until the big van accidentally was filled with gasoline instead of diesel fuel. We got a call in the evening and soon were off to pick up the two in the van and see that it got towed to the repair place, Van Loon's. It will just need to be drained and hopefully that's it, we'll be back in business soon.
FRIDAY
Darryl and Annette Cartozian came today from Paris. We met them at the train station and showed them the Mission Office. They are planning on a mission next year so we were able to answer some questions. WE went to dinner with them at La Oliva, a little restaurant in Gouda. It was delicious food and a nice atmosphere.
SATURDAY
We took the Cartozian's to Delft today. Visiting the Royal Delft factory was so interesting!
There was a short video and an audio tour. Watching the artists paint the ceramic vase was fascinating.
Afterwards we walked to the center of town, ate lunch at a sidewalk cafe, tasted some cheeses, enjoyed the Oude Kerk and Nieuwe Kerk along with all the architecture. And the Oostpoort (the East Gate of the city) was fascinating. We had a great time visiting with Darryl and Annette and enjoying some of the local culture.
Delft is a charming city! Definitely will make a return trip😁
Hey Glausers,
Just a quick report on the Tempe Ward. We received a new Senior Missionary Couple this week!
They are the Ledosquets from Idaho. I have met with them and they are off and running. We are grateful to President Goaslind for the inspiration to send them to us. As you know, still lots to do here in the Tempe vineyard.
From my perspective, we won’t likely ever get a couple so perfect for our ward than the Glausers. Every time I meet with any leaders or members, you guys come up as those who have helped move our members forward on the covenant path. I know, from experience, that really knowing if we have done any good as Senior Missionaries is sometimes hard to recognize or to see results. Let me assure you that the Glausers will always be remembered in the Tempe Ward. Well done you good and faithful servants.
I hope you are enjoying your mission in Holland. Elder Glauser, how is the Dutch language coming along? Sister Glauser, how is it working in the Mission Office? God bless you guys and if we ever share the same location again, I know we will be great friends.
Carry On,
