Our second and final week at the MTC was just as packed as the first. We were trained in working with Young Adults, Young missionaries and local leaders. We learned new features of FamilySearch and the Memories app for FamilySearch and more on how to use FaceBook and Zoom in our teaching. We practiced using our new skills with others over Zoom.

Elder S. Mark Palmer and his wife spoke at the Tuesday Devotional this week. Another inspiring message. Just being in the same room with so many people (about 700) who have the same beliefs, goals and desires is soul strengthening.

The other Senior Missionaries have become our dear friends. We come from different backgrounds and will be serving in different parts of the world but have the same common desire to be missionaries and representatives of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and encourage others to follow Him.

Friday we left the MTC and drove to Kanab, UT. We stopped for the night and finished the drive to Tempe AZ on Saturday. Our apartment is a nice 2bed, 2bath. The missionaries over housing, Elder and Sister Jones had it all ready with new bedding, kitchen ware, and paper goods. After a trip to the grocery store, we were all set.

And speaking of the grocery store, we started in the produce department and a worker there, Charles, stopped Elder Glauser. He said he noticed the missionary tag and wanted to ask about the Church. They visited for a few minutes. Turns out he used to live in Riverside CA and knew a little about the church. He wanted to find the nearest building so he and his wife could start going.  Honestly, we had been in town for two hours! Doug is a natural! He makes friends everywhere!
