SUNDAY We drove home from church today with Alja as she had a meeting at the Mission Office and had never been there before. Since the parking is very limited there, we dropped her off and then parked her car at our house. She called when she was finished so we could take her car back and she could get home. We were thinking about all the good people we have met here...some, like Alja, have become eternal friends. Others are acquaintances, but all have enriched our lives. MONDAY A regular day at the office.... TUESDAY Today the mission received another Senior Couple. Dave and Shauna White will be working with the Young Sngle Adults (JoVos). We are so happy to have them here!  We took them to the Gouda centrum so they would not be tempted to take a nap. After lunch, the VandeWal's took them to their apartment in Rotterdam.  Shauna and Dave White Gerrit VandeWal, David White, Doug, Jeff Wagner Norma VandeWal, Shauna White, Marcia, Cathy Wagner At Zone Conferences I l...

SUNDAY Happy Mother's Day! I'm so grateful for a wonderful mother who taught me how to live through her example and her teachings. Mom taught me to do the necessary work to keep a family and home running smoothly. She taught me to rely on the Spirit when I had questions or challenges. She loved to read, play the piano and organ, work in her garden, travel to new places and make quilts. But mostly she loved to have the family gather at her home or in the mountains or at the lake -- anywhere as long as we were all together. As the family grew, that became more of a challenge but always a good time!  At Stake Conference we sustained Percy De Wilde as the new Stake President, Joeri Verwaard, ...

SUNDAY Random thoughts from some of the testimonies today at church: Lukas Maring talked about how he believed the Church was true but he did not actually have proof of it. Yet his belief is enough. Laurens Muurling (age 10) told about his bike being stolen and he prayed that he could find it. He went home, told his dad and they began to look. And they found the bike! He knows it was an answer to his prayer. Elder Hans Jeppson is new to the Utrecht Ward. He talked about Joseph Smith's First Vision. Joseph knew he had seen a vision, and he knew that God knew it, and he could not deny it. I feel the same way. I know that God knows that I know He visited Joseph and introduced His Son Jesus Christ. Christ's Church has been restored to the earth and we have the privilege of being part of it.  A visitor from St George Utah talked about the differences she has found here in The Netherlands...different climate, different food, different surroundings, different architecture. But one...
